Discount Engagement Rings

Discount engagement rings are great for people who want to buy a beautiful engagement ring but who are also on a tight budget. An engagement ring is not the be all and end all of a relationship, if you are on a tight budget then you should definitely not go spending thousands of dollars for one. Today I am going to run through some options for couples looking to purchase a ring on a budget.

Do you want something cheap or something which has been discounted?

Discount can mean different things to different people and so to end all the confusion we had better make it clear. If you are looking for a discounted ring which still might be quite expensive but is on sale, then you have a few options:

  1. Buy when the sales are on. From my experience, before Christmas and Valentines are the most likely times to find some nice engagement rings on sale.
  2. Pawn Shops. It might not sound like an ideal place to buy a ring, however if you know what you are looking for you can find one in a pawn shop for a big discount.
  3. Ebay or other auctions. Buying discount engagement rings online through Ebay or another auction site might seem a bit risky, but if you are careful and do your research you should not have any problems. The pay-off is in the tremendous bargains which are to be had there.
  4. Search for coupons. The internet is awash with discount coupons, although some may only give you a slight discount, others can be up to 50% off.

However if by discount you mean cheap engagement rings then you may want to consider some good alternatives to natural gemstones such as diamonds, sapphires and rubies. Here is what I suggest:

Cubic Zirconia

Cubic Zirconia engagement rings are great because they look nearly the same as diamond ones, but they are much cheaper. They may not be as bright or as hard as diamonds, but they make perfect discount engagement rings.

Moissanite

If you still want diamond but you think cubiz zirconia enagagement rings are too cheap then maybe you should try Moissanite engagement rings. Moissanite is much closer to diamond than cubic zirconia, in fact it is even more sparkly than a diamond and just as hard. Definitely a worthy choice when you are considering an inexpensive engagement ring.

Laboratory Created Gemstones

Natural sapphire and ruby engagement rings are very expensive, the lab created variety are not however. These stones do not cost a fortune and they are the real thing, albeit man made. They also make for fantastic discount engagement rings.
