Engagement Rings for Cheap

“Where and what kind of engagement rings can you get for cheap prices?” is one of the questions which I am constantly asked. You may be surprised to learn that many couples don’t splash out when it comes to buying an engagement ring and I completely understand them. Today the economy is not so great and people should not be spending like crazy on luxuries which they cannot afford. If two people are in love, the diamond or lack of diamond on the engagement ring they choose is not going to be the be all and end all of their relationship. Anyway there are many beautiful and inexpensive engagement rings which one can choose from and I am going to introduce a few today.

1)      Moissanite

Moissanite engagement rings are cheap (300-600+ USD) and they are beautiful, they also have the qualities that people look for in diamonds. Moissanite is a stone which can be found naturally, but which is extremely rare. It is so similar to diamond that when it was first found it was mistaken for diamond. Moissanite actually has a better sparkle than natural diamonds and it is just as hard, luckily it can also be created in a laboratory, hence the affordable price. If you have the money for Moissanite I would suggest choosing it above other diamond substitute engagement rings.

2)      Cubic Zirconia

If you think Moissanite is still too expensive then you should think about purchasing CZ engagement rings, their cheap and they look very much like diamonds. I would choose Moissanite first if I had the money, because CZ does not have the sparkle or the hardness that diamonds do. However you cannot argue with your wallet and if that is you main concern then by all means choose Choose Cubic Zirconia because you can get engagement rings for 50 dollars and upwards.

3)      Opal

Want a unique engagement ring for a cheap price, then you can’t go far wrong with opal. Opal engagement rings are great because for a an affordable price you can get the real thing. They may not be as spectacular as diamonds or sapphires, but they are beautiful nonetheless. Expect to pay about 500 plus dollars for a nice opal engagement ring.

4)      Ruby

Ruby engagement rings can be extremely expensive and highly sought after, no wonder they were the choice jewel of many Kings and Queens in history. Although a ruby is very similar to a sapphire it should not be confused with one, rubies only come in the colors dark pink and red, any other color is a sapphire. Although natural ruby engagement rings are expensive, you can get laboratory made ones for cheap prices and so I recommend looking into rubies if you are looking for engagement rings for cheap.

5)      Sapphire

Like ruby, natural sapphire is very expensive, but sapphire can also be man-made and therefore now we have a good selection of inexpensive sapphire engagement rings which we can choose from. I suggest looking for a nice blue sapphire engagement ring, maybe something like the one given to Kate Middleton by Prince William.
