When my husband bought my engagement ring he had to go to numerous local jewelers before he found what he was looking for. It is safe to say that I was happy with the outcome and here we are today, happily married. Although there now is much more competition from the internet, most couples will still choose to go to local jewelry stores over anything else. Many people like to see and touch something before they buy it and this is especially true when it comes to buying engagement rings.
Most innovative option- I think the most innovative and maybe the best option for people after a bargain is buying an engagement ring second hand off a dealer on ebay or Amazon.com. If you are really hunting a bargain this may be the best way to go. However, this is definitely the most risky option and there is a possibility that you may be tricked into buying something which is fake or which has problems. Unless you are an experienced bargain hunter and you know a bit about rings and stones I would stay away from this option.
My favorite option- I honestly think that the best place to buy an engagement ring is the internet, more specifically good, world class jewelers on the internet. Le’s face it, although local jewelers may be convenient, they are expensive and just don’t have the selection that the online ones have. Whatismore, many online jewelers now have programs which allow you to design your own engagement ring in 3D.
